Review: Kingdom Hearts 2 (Part One)

This year, as a Secret Santa gift from a co-worker, I received Kingdom Hearts 2 for the Playstation. Yes, I know it’s been out for a while and while I had once played it with a friend, I’d never actually gone out and purchased it for myself (I do have the first one though.)

I am presently four hours into the game, the first three of that being the tutorial/prelude. While I like Roxas and his story makes me sad (poor boy), I still think three hours is a bit much, but this may be because I wasn’t that great at the mini-games you have to do to get 800 munny. Vivi is just as adorable as ever though and seeing chibi-Seifer and Setzer was awesome.

Sora’s new clothes are pretty and I remember adoring all the versions of it for drive form (only have Valor form at the moment though). The dialog and story is awesome, as always, and I look forward to the rest of the game.

I’ll update later when I’ve had a chance to play further into the game. Merry Christmas, everyone.

Frequently, there are games I want to play and for whatever reason I cannot (either I don’t have them or I just plain fail at them (FPS games, for example). When that happens, I turn to the Let’s Players (mostly on Youtube).

Hello, and welcome to what will eventually become my public fandom (mostly gaming) blog.

My hobbies consist mostly of gaming, reading, and watching crime procedural dramas (NCIS, NCIS Los Angeles, and Bones). Most of the games I play are either role-playing games, sim games, or civilization games. I read fanfiction based on the various fandoms that amuse me, as well as science-fiction and fantasy novels.

I like cute things, which on occasion may be the only explanation for why I’ve done something in a game (or in real life).
